Motion Graphics

Motion graphics designers, sometimes called special effects artists, are designers that specialize in creating animated artwork for the web, television or film. This includes movie clips, trailers, commercials, title sequences, etc. but could also extend into more cutting edge fields such as Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR).

Motion graphics designers have an extensive understanding of timing and typography. They use visual effects and other cinematic techniques to creatively elevate designs and websites, films and commercials to an entirely new level.

Employment of special effects artists and animators is projected to grow 16 percent from 2020 to 2030, much faster than the average for all occupations, according to the US Bureau of Labor Statistics.
